Starting 2010 with a Bang! 19 | 01 | 2010

The Fizbag office is back to its manic, fast pace again after the weather chaos of early January. Although Jersey wasn’t hit as badly as the UK, schools here were closed, flights were delayed and cancelled and it was really difficult getting around the Island.

We were delayed at Gatwick for 6 hours on our way back from Thailand after a well deserved break with the family over Christmas and New Year, we were so pleased to get back despite our light summer clothes (it was 32c in Bangkok and -5c at home).

With a new fitness and healthy eating regime sorted (hopefully) I am now keen to go charging into 2010!! Those fantastic spicy Thai curries and Tiger beers are certainly showing their effects. I have now had my first spinning class in 4 years and I actually thought I would die at the wheel and that was after the first 10 minutes of a 45 minute class, the bright red, throbbing face is not a cool look.

We have just exhibited at our first trade show in Europe (Macef, Milan) and it went really well. Reactions to the whole product range was fantastic, we did a lot of business and made some new international contacts. Fenby drove all the way down to Italy with the stand and is now driving back as I write this.

Top Drawer Spring (Earls Court) finishes today, David and Lulu picked up loads of new orders and new customers.

I have been in the office working on last quarter’s VAT return today….some people have all the fun!
